• 200 gram brown sugar
  • 50 gram caster sugar
  • 100 gram all purpose flour
  • 125 gram unsalted peanuts
  • 125 gram cream butter
  • 1 table spoon oil ( canola)
  • 3 tabel spoon water
  • 3 drop almond flavor
  • half tea spoon cinnamon

Kletskoppen are one of the many cookies we have in the Netherlands. Our Bakery or Cuisine is not wel known in the world but nonetheless exciting! The Dutch are “Masters”  in making cookies and all are very tasty and addictive . Kletskoppen can be translated as a. Baldhead or b. Chatterbox. Where the name comes from is not really known but the city of Leiden claims to have this cookies as their own.

 

Method:

Set your oven on 175 degrees celcius. Cut the butter in cubes and let it get soft ( against melting) add all other ingredients (except peanuts) . Chop peanuts in little pieces and add to the recipe

On a baking plate add either with a piping bag or with a spoon 2-3 cm little balls with 5 cm between them like on the picture . As you see on the next picture they will flow so keep enough space. Bake them on 175 °C around 10-15 min . When they are golden brown take them out and let them cool down first as they are still soft. The sugar will harden the cookies.
