• 1 butter 60 gr
  • 1 onions 450 gr
  • 2 garlic 90 gr
  • 2 pepper crushed 1.2 gr
  • 2 laurier 0.6 gr
  • 2 nutmeg 0.6 gr
  • 3 patato 900 gr
  • 3 leek 150 gr
  • 3 celeriac 150 gr
  • 3 water 1800 gr
  • 4 thyme chopped 12 gr
  • 4 salt 15 gr
  • 4 beef stock tablet 30 gr
  • 4 milk 300 gr

Soups are similar to stews, and in some cases there may not be a clear distinction between the two; however, soups generally have more liquid than stews. The same goes for this potato soup it is a filling soup and not ment to put in a menu since most women are full after this soup.

I like to have a recipe without all the flour and cream thing…a soup needs to be basic and honest with pure ingredients.Too many cooks these days cook with cream to make their recipe better..but in my opnion it only gets worse. Try this patato soup and tell us what you think of it.

Note : this soup is a good already but you can always play with this recipe …try to add bacon or for instance cook broccoli with the potato and you have a broccoli  potato soup..the options are endless…

DIRECTIONS :

add 1 and 2 in a pan that can have more then 3 liters. Fry this for 10 min on medium/low heat so all flavors from the spices come out. Add 3 and simmer for one hour.Add 4 and cook for another 5 minutes. After this you can put your hand blender and puree for 1 minute…depending if you like a bit of chunks then puree less.
